On Friday January 20th a group of 19 Zimkor employees and family members served and cleaned up the dinner meal served at the center and in conjunction with the Denver Rescue Mission. I am very grateful our folks took the time to serve the homeless community in this fashion on a busy Friday evening after a full day at the shop/office, battle traffic downtown and volunteer their efforts. The experience was powerful and the DRM continues to serve a powerful function for the homeless of the Denver area. It is hard to understand all the stories behind the folks who walk through the chow line but we heard repeatedly “thank you” and “God bless you” from so many. Very humbling indeed and the work of the DRM has to stand unmatched in the state of Colorado. We look forward to regular opportunities to serve the DRM and partner with them to end homelessness in our communities. Thank you Patrick Casey and all at the DRM for the opportunity to serve along side you!
