On Friday July 13th a dozen Zimkor employees and family members served and cleaned up the dinner meal at the center and in conjunction with the Denver Rescue Mission. I am very grateful our folks (a smaller but no less enthusiastic group) took the time to serve the homeless community in this fashion on a hot Friday afternoon, battle traffic downtown and volunteer their efforts. The experience is always powerful and the DRM continues to serve a powerful function for the homeless of the Denver area. It is hard to understand all the stories behind the folks who walk through the chow line but we hear repeatedly “thank you” and “God bless you” from so many. Very humbling indeed and the work of the DRM appears unmatched in the state of Colorado. We are committed to serve a meal twice a year at the Center and we thank you, Jane Hampe and all at the DRM, for the opportunity to serve along side you! We encourage ALL of the Zimkor family (employees, family, friends, subcontractors, suppliers and associates) to consider supporting the mission with your prayers, your hands AND your checkbook.
