On February 1st we welcomed the American Red Cross back into our halls to conduct CPR/1st Aid re-certifications for the company. Our thanks to the 8 folks willing to be trained and prepared to assist when medical emergencies may arise; this takes a special breed of person to step forward for the duty. We are excited to see some new folks give this a try, thanks to all for your efforts!
The American Red Cross was established in 1881 by Clara Barton to model Swiss efforts and the establishment of the iconic red cross itself. The ARC has grown and expanded it’s services and outreach over the decades and today stands as a bulwark of humanitarian relief, blood donation/collection efforts as well emergency preparedness services (such as CPR/1st Aid training). We appreciate the ARC/it’s efforts and we especially thank Katheryn Hancock for her efforts with us.
